Product information "Rustin's Danish Oil 5.0 Ltr."
Original RUSTIN'S DANISH OIL is valued as an excellent product by many woodworkers, and especially by turners all over the world. Contains matting agents for a matt look.

RUSTIN'S DANISH OIL is very easy and problem-free to use. No dangerous solvent vapors are generated during use.

RUSTIN'S DANISH OIL is non-toxic, so it is particularly suitable for sealing children's toys and kitchen appliances.

RUSTIN'S DANISH OIL is made exclusively from Natural resins and oils produced. An important ingredient is Chinese tung oil, which is extracted from the nuts of the tung tree.

RUSTIN'S DANISH OIL is highly economical, economical to use and therefore extremely inexpensive.

New bottle, tried and tested content: Rustins Danish Oil had a face for decades, which changed in 2012. The content is the tried and tested Rustins Danish Oil with the same recipe.

Please note the following information for processing:
The container must be shaken vigorously before use. Sand all wooden surfaces well and carefully remove the sanding dust.
Apply RUSTIN'S DANISH OIL with a cotton cloth or a brush. After a few minutes, the material not absorbed by the wood must be wiped off. There must be no "puddles" left.
There are now different options for further treatment: With hard and dense woods, the first application can be "rubbed dry". It is now very easy for the wood turner. He lets the workpiece "run" and rubs it with a cloth made of wool or linen until the resulting frictional heat dries up the applied material and creates an elegant, non-sticky, silky shine. In the case of flat workpieces, the coating is allowed to dry and then rubbed until it is bright.
Soft and highly absorbent woods make a second and third application necessary. It must be ensured that the previous application is completely dry. The drying time depends on the ambient temperature and humidity. If the wood is heavily roughened, intermediate sanding is required. Fine sandpaper or steel wool is used for this. When smoothing with steel wool, Danish Oil can be applied at the same time.
It is very uneconomical to work from the original can. Danish Oil dries through oxidation, i.e. through the absorption of oxygen. Every time the jug is opened, fresh oxygen comes in. Over time, the rest will become thick and unusable. Therefore, a small amount should be filled into a bottle, which like the original container should be turned upside down when not in use.
Danish Oil is considered to be flammable. It should be stored out of the reach of children.

If the workpieces are to be given a different color or simply become darker, they must first be stained or coloured. For this purpose, water-based colour concentrates are recommended. (Processing information on request). The Danish Oil can then be applied to the workpiece as a surface protection after the dye has completely dried out.

Further information:
Description
Rustins Danish Oil is a mixture of oils (including Tung Oil), resins and desiccants, developed to create an attractive and permanently resistant wood surface treatment. The surface becomes satin matt. For shiny surfaces, we recommend Rustins Teak Oil.

Use
For all raw wooden surfaces indoors and outdoors, doors, carpentry, garden and room furniture.

Special features
Danish Oil reinforces the natural structure of wood and veneered surfaces. A natural, open-pored surface with a silky sheen is achieved.
Danish Oil meets the requirements of BS EN 71 Part 3 of 1995 and is therefore suitable for toys.

Preparation
The wood must be clean, smooth, dry and free of wax, dust and other impurities. Remove wax with Rustins White Spirit or Rustins Surface Cleaner with a clean, lint-free cloth. Paints and varnishes must be coated with e.g. Rustins Strypit Paint or Varnish Stripper can be removed.
The wood can be colored, bleached or stained with Danish Oil before treatment.

Application
Apply Danish Oil with a clean cloth or brush and after a few minutes wipe off any excess oil. For outdoor use, Danish Oil should be applied generously with a brush the first time and allowed to dry off without wiping.
Lugs can be removed by rubbing in oil again after the last application with a firm sponge in the direction of the grain and then with a clean one Cloth wipes away excess.

Layers
Raw wood requires 3 coats. Wood in the outdoor area sometimes requires further coatings (see below)
