Please note the following information for processing:
The container must be shaken vigorously before use. Sand all wooden surfaces well and carefully remove the sanding dust.
Apply RUSTIN'S DANISH OIL with a cotton cloth or a brush. After a few minutes, the material not absorbed by the wood must be wiped off. There must be no "puddles" left.
There are now different options for further treatment: With hard and dense woods, the first application can be "rubbed dry". It is now very easy for the wood turner. He lets the workpiece "run" and rubs it with a cloth made of wool or linen until the resulting frictional heat dries up the applied material and creates an elegant, non-sticky, silky shine. In the case of flat workpieces, the coating is allowed to dry and then rubbed until it is bright.
Soft and highly absorbent woods make a second and third application necessary. It must be ensured that the previous application is completely dry. The drying time depends on the ambient temperature and humidity. If the wood is heavily roughened, intermediate sanding is required. Fine sandpaper or steel wool is used for this. When smoothing with steel wool, Danish Oil can be applied at the same time.
It is very uneconomical to work from the original can. Danish Oil dries through oxidation, i.e. through the absorption of oxygen. Every time the jug is opened, fresh oxygen comes in. Over time, the rest will become thick and unusable. Therefore, a small amount should be filled into a bottle, which like the original container should be turned upside down when not in use.
Danish Oil is considered to be flammable. It should be stored out of the reach of children.
If the workpieces are to be given a different color or simply become darker, they must first be stained or colored. For this purpose, water-based color concentrates are recommended. (Processing information on request). The Danish Oil can then be applied to the workpiece as a surface protection after the dye has completely dried out.

Important for outdoor use
In outdoor areas, the coating with Danish Oil must be repeated at least once a year. Horizontal surfaces and surfaces that are particularly exposed to the weather may require more frequent treatment. Oak and hardwood have a particularly strong tendency to discolour due to weathering. Additional layers of Danish Oil are advisable here to adequately seal these woods. Up to 6 orders are particularly useful for cross-cut wood surfaces.
